HeleCloud is happy to announce it has been nominated in the “IT Project Abroad” category in the prestigious competition “IT Project of the Year”, organised by ICT Media and ComputerWorld Bulgaria. The accolade celebrates our case study for helping Viber raise the security and compliance bar for over a billion users.
“Viber tasked us with a thorough analysis of the controls in the organisation from three different perspectives - people, processes, and technologies with a focus on AWS. We had to assess the levels of security of the cloud-based environment, regardless of GDPR. The second task was to come up with guidelines, gap analyses and to assess the scale of the difference between current measures and the ones required by GDPR”, said Dobromir Todorov, CEO of HeleCloud.
The collaboration between HeleCloud and Viber teams went on for six weeks during which the systems were evaluated and further optimised in terms of compliance requirements. The two companies worked shoulder by shoulder to analyse, review and optimise the Viber platform in line with AWS Security’s best practices, the AWS Well-architected Framework and the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework. HeleCloud has also helped assess and optimise GDPR compliance, AWS security controls as well as their effectiveness.
